Supporting the Next Generation of Lawyers
Mediation plays an important role in Singapore’s legal system, particularly in family law, where constructive dispute resolution can help families reach practical agreements while minimising conflict.
As an SMC Associate Mediator with extensive experience in family dispute resolution, Gloria James-Civetta recognises the importance of developing mediation and advocacy skills among aspiring legal practitioners.
Through its sponsorship of the GJC Law Prize in Mediation Advocacy, the firm seeks to encourage future lawyers to appreciate the value of negotiation, effective communication and constructive dispute resolution alongside their legal training.
