GJC Law was proud to attend the 38th LAWASIA Conference 2025, held from 11 to 13 October 2025 in Hanoi, Vietnam. This annual flagship event brings together bar leaders, jurists, professional organisations, and legal practitioners from across the Asia-Pacific region to share insights and strengthen collaboration within the legal community.
Representing our firm were Ms Gloria James-Civetta (Head Lawyer), Ms Odelia Tan ( Associate Lawyer), and Ms Celeste Ng (Practice Trainee). We were also joined by our international alliance partners from Australia, Mr Will Jones (Founding Partner) and Ms Nicola Kahler (Senior Associate) of Sayer Jones.
During the conference, Ms Gloria James-Civetta spoke as a panelist on “Managing Law Firms Today: Challenges and Opportunities.”
The panel explored key issues such as the challenges of running a modern law firm, managing a millennial workforce, the future of the legal profession, motivating young lawyers to stay in practice, and embracing technological advances shaping the legal landscape.
At GJC Law, we believe it is important for our young lawyers to gain international exposure and learn from thought leaders across the region. Such experiences deepen their understanding of evolving practices and strengthen their professional growth.
These opportunities reflect our firm’s ongoing commitment to mentorship, development, and continuous learning, ensuring our lawyers remain engaged and future-ready in today’s dynamic legal environment.
