Viet Woman’s Death Fall: Man Jailed for Disposing of Evidence
A man was jailed for one year and five months yesterday for disposing of evidence and failing to tell police after a Vietnamese woman fell to her death from his 10th-floor flat in Toa Payoh.
The deceased had she ran to the kitchen and climbed out of the sliding window after an argument. The man stated that he then saw her trying to cross over into a neighbouring unit, before hearing her scream and fall.
Instead of calling the police, he disposed of her clothes and boots into a rubbish chute, before he was subsequently arrested later that day.
Singapore Criminal Lawyer, Ms Gloria James said the divorcee regretted her death and had sought forgiveness from her family.
