GJC Law recently had the pleasure of hosting a delegation of lawyers from Chongqing, China, who are in Singapore as part of a training programme organised by the Law Society of Singapore.
The visit provided an opportunity for a meaningful sharing about the laws relating to family practice in Singapore.
As part of the session, Ms Noelle Teoh, Associate at GJC Law, delivered a presentation on family law in Singapore. Her presentation covered areas such as divorce process in Singapore, child custody arrangements, division of matrimonial assets, and the factors considered by the courts in determining outcomes. The rest of the GJC team then had an engagement session with the delegates.
The visit formed part of a broader initiative by the Law Society of Singapore to facilitate professional exchange and learning among legal practitioners from different jurisdictions. Discussions during the session allowed for an open dialogue regarding the legal framework in Singapore.
GJC Law values such opportunities to engage with our counterparts across the globe, and to contribute to ongoing professional development and cross-border understanding within the legal community.
