Celeste Ng Yuen Yee

Associate Lawyer

Celeste graduated from the Singapore Management University in 2024 and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2026. She is committed to guiding clients through complex and often emotionally challenging disputes, and adopts a practical yet empathetic approach in her work.

Prior to being called to the Singapore Bar in 2026, Celeste obtained her Provisional Practising Certificate in September 2025, during which she gained early exposure to court advocacy, including appearances before the Family Justice Courts and Criminal Mentions Court. Alongside hands-on involvement in complex family disputes, this has provided her with a solid foundation in both procedural and substantive aspects of family law practice.

She also contributed frequently to conference papers and legal research, reflecting her strong interest in the development of family law practice while further refining her analytical approach to complex legal issues.

Celeste is proficient in English and conversant in Mandarin.

Family Law

Celeste’s primary area of practice is family law. She trained in this area under the guidance of Ms Gloria James-Civetta, Head Lawyer of M/s Gloria James-Civetta & Co, as well as Senior Lawyer Ms Chong Xin Yi. Through this, she has developed a strong foundation in both the legal and practical dimensions of family disputes.

Celeste has been involved in a broad spectrum of family law matters, including simplified and contested divorce proceedings, interim custody, care and control applications, personal protection orders, maintenance claims, injunctions, and applications under the Guardianship of Infants Act. Her experience spans both contentious and non-contentious proceedings, and she is attuned to the practical and emotional considerations involved.

Civil Litigation

Celeste also has experience in civil litigation, having trained in this area alongside Senior Lawyer Ms Chong Xin Yi. In the course of her training, she was exposed to various aspects of civil practice, including drafting of pleadings and correspondence, interlocutory applications, and procedural case management.

This experience has equipped her with a working familiarity of court processes and litigation strategy, allowing her to approach disputes in a structured and analytical manner, with an emphasis on clarity and efficiency.
